Tips for freshers to get prepared for interviews during recession

As a fresher, most aspirants are most worried about getting an opportunity the moment they come out of their course completion. But will you really assess yourself whether you are set to take a challenge if provided. I came across many freshers who met me enquiring for an entry opportunity through other means before they trying to explore grab an opportunity. The other means is getting an entry in some company by paying some “X” amount.

Even they don’t know how far that source is reliable as we see many cheating cases in this regards regularly who are taking advantage of these poor chaps. In my view I never mistake the one who is cheating by this means as in his view he is correct and earning money by exploiting the weakness of others who approach him as he created an opportunity for his survival though this is an unethical and illegal.
In this current market scenario every one is talking about recession and foresees no opportunities. So as a fresher in a market like this you have to be strong morally & mentally. Opportunities are always open for entry level and even more in this market conditions.

Firstly before talking about opportunities I request the entry level aspirants to be prepared and ready to take and grab the available opportunities.

On this platform I would like to give my suggestions and views on how an entry level aspirant has to be prepared:
  1. The first and foremost thing is the communication as modern employers are very particular on communication.
  2. Be prepared on some technology as per your interest before entry to any organization.
  3. Build your professional network through known contacts.
  4. As an entry level aspirant you need to be prepared for a written test which comprises of your academics, aptitude test, general & verbal reasoning etc…
  5. You have to be prepared for a group discussion in the selection process which is almost mandatory for almost all organizations.
  6. Your confidence levels also plays a key role is getting you an opportunity.
  7. Zeal to learn and excel and adjustability to new teams, people and environments as you will be associated with a team of people with different cultures, age groups, different academic backgrounds etc... And what not!!
  8. Be updated on the interview walk-ins that are going around by registering your self in related websites.
  9. Plan your career by talking to seniors in the industry based on their suggestions and finally it’s your call as you are the architect of your career.
  10. Finally always be confident about yourself but not over confident as there is a hair line difference between the two…

Apart form these there are many more points to be added to this which are very general but they play a vital role when it comes to practicality. So the entry level aspirants have to be on their toes to grab the opportunities that come their way.
