Emotional and Psychological Diet

Depending on our work and profession, we are advised to follow a particular diet. People who play tough games such as rugby and football take such food which will give them the energy and stamina. A patient in a hospital is given a specific diet. Mothers are given a special diet after delivering a child. Babies are put on diet formula.

These diets are to do with the food that we take.  BUT WHAT ABOUT OUR MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL DIET?
We have to keep fit both physically and emotionally. There are times when we have to maintain our mental balance and mental stamina. This is especially so when we have undertaken to do some very important tasks where we have to apply all our concentration and focus. We have to muster all our will and stamina in pursue our goals.

Consider the following emotional dieting for one complete week:
* Avoid people who will discourage you.
* Avoid any television shows, which will show violence and fight.
* Avoid reading any news, which will discourage or put you down.
* Avoid any dis empowering thoughts or self-put-downs
* Avoid hearing any news, which will discourage you.
* Avoid getting angry
* Avoid using any harsh words by avoiding such circumstances
You can add to this list. Do it sincerely and notice what happens to your emotional fitness!
